Background Information

This coalition was formed

• Because Mayor Loretta Spencer signed the U.S. Conference of Mayors Climate Protection Agreement at the 2007 Mayors Climate Protection Summit in Seattle
• Because the Sierra Club's Cool Cities initiative can provide support for the City of Huntsville in their green efforts.
  
• To bring together companies, churches, organization and individuals in supporting green efforts in Huntsville, Alabama
